Eid al Adha (Festival of Sacrifice):
This festival commemorates the Prophet Abraham's devotion to God through his willingness to slay his son Ismael as a sacrifice, and involves sacrifices of lambs or goats which are then given to the poor, for many tourists can be a bit boring but for they mean a marvellous custom . Eid al Adha marks the beginning of the pilgrimage to Mecca.
Major regional festivals include the Apple Blossom Festival,is a spectacular event, a seasonal celebration to herald the coming of spring held every 23 April in Chak e Wardak District of Wardak Province; and the Mushaira (Orange Blossom Festival), held annually on 13 April in Jalalabad, which takes place under the orange trees in a royal garden and at many other shrines throughout the city. Both involve picnics and music.

Nowruz festivities reflect the renewal of the earth that occurs with the arrival of a new year. Families and friends get together and do rituals that burn the bad energies and renew their souls for a new year. The most important celebration of Nowruz activity is the preparation of the Haft-Seen Table, it means the board is only seven special dishes that begin with the letters.
The New Year's Day must begin with joy, happiness and laughter so that during the rest of the year the families will continue to be happy. If the families are not happy, the faravahars who are guests of the families will leave the households which may result in the loss of abundance and blessings from the household. It is for this reason that during these days there are people with funny makeup and joyful songs who will bring laughter and joy to families and with their comical jests and songs bring laughter to houses, streets and market places.
Haji Firuz is the most representative of the festival, he announces the arrival of a new year and issues joy among families for this new stage. The figure is derived from ceremonies and legends connected to the epic of prince Siavash, was to call on the people to burn their old items in the fire, and to renew their life and regain health by obtaining the solved energy of the fire. The dark colour of the fire-keeper's face is allegedly caused by the heat of the holy fire and his red clothing is the sign of Siavash’s blood.

Radaman:
Many people wake up early on the first day of the Ramadan Feast. They put on their best clothes, called bayramlık, which they often buy specifically for the occasion, and have a large breakfast. This symbolizes the end of the fasting period, which many Muslims observe during the preceding month of Ramadan.
It is customary to visit one's relatives, especially older ones, and kiss their hand as a sign of respect. Children may go door-to-door, kissing hands of the grown-ups and receiving sweets and small amounts of money in return.

The symbols of the Ramadan Feast include:
1. A new moon.
2. Sweets or traditional desserts.
3. A cup of Turkish tea or coffee.
